Warnings are in place this morning as freezing temperatures are making for ‘treacherous’ driving conditions.
Roads across the country are affected by frost, ice and snow and Transport Infrastructure Ireland is advising motorists to stay below 80km/h on inland motorway networks. Extreme caution is also required on all secondary road networks.

People are also asked to be aware of slippery footpaths due to the accumulation of snow and ice.
