This New Instagram Feature Could Make It Seriously Hard To Creep

Shirleydonlon

Instagram will soon be rolling out a new feature on the app, to see whether or not it proves successful.

The new feature will be tested out in Europe this month, according to The Verge.

And for our own, creepy sake, we really hope it don’t stay for good.

According to WABetaInfo, taking a screenshot of someone’s Instagram story without them knowing could be a thing of the past.

Yep, you take a screenshot and they get a notification. *Shudder*.

But for anyone worrying about when the notification system will be kicking in, don’t sweat. Because you’ll get a warning stating: “The next time you take a screenshot of a story, the person who posted it will be notified.”

As well as this, the app will also be testing another new feature for Instagram stories.

A new format for uploading a story will see users being able to write ‘text statuses’ under a new option called ‘Type’.

After writing out your text, you’ll be able to customise the background and text style, which actually sounds pretty handy for when you want to upload a text only snap.
