King Charles told aides "I can't bear this bloody thing" after encountering more pen trouble during a visit to Hillsborough Castle, Co.Down.
The King and Queen Consort were signing a visitors' book at the castle when he came into difficulty with a leaky pen.
This is the second pen-related incident the monarch has encountered since coming into power, but the first on the island of Ireland.
Cameras documenting Charles' first visit to Northern Ireland as king
captured his frustration, as he stood up and proclaimed "oh god I hate this" to his wife, Camilla who responded "oh look, it's going everywhere, hang on".

An aide can then be seen stepping in to take the offending pen away as Charles laments "I can't bear this bloody thing, what they do every stinking time".
Earlier this week, the new king made headlines after his first Privy Council meeting in London, where he was captured grimacing while gesturing for an aide to move a pen tray from his writing space. The staff member quickly removed the tray in question, but not before the clip went viral.
