Met Éireann has extended an orange wind warning for nine counties as Storm Eleanor wreaks havoc across the country.
An update was released last night which states that the warning of gale force winds and high seas will remain in place until 2pm today. The counties affected are Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo, Sligo, Clare, Cork, Kerry and Limerick.

The ESB is working to restore power to over 27,000 homes which have been affected by Storm Eleanor.
A warning has also been issued to all road users to be vigilant of flooding and debris when out today.
