More Controversy Surrounds Paddy Jackson Regarding Club Move To Sale Sharks

Darragh Berry

Just over two weeks ago, rumours were floating around on Social Media regarding Paddy Jackson and his next sporting step.

It was being reported at the time that both him and Olding were in talks with a new club in England, Premiership side Sale Sharks.

The English side then released a statement which distanced themselves from the signing of the two rugby players.

Although reports were suggesting that Jackson had already signed a contract and that Olding was to follow suit, Sale Sharks said in a statement that they:

“can confirm there is no substance to the rumours currently circulating in relation to the signing of the two international rugby players Paddy Jackson and Stuart Olding. Our search continues for top class players to bolster the squad for next season.”

However, The Irish Sun is reporting that have seen a pre-contract deal worth €1m that Jackson signed with the English club.

The publication is claiming that it witnessed a ‘Heads of Agreement’ document which was signed by both Jackson and the club recently.

The Irish Sun states that Jackson was set to make more than €1.1m from the contract over three seasons at the club.
