PIC: Irish Rugby Club Investigating “Inappropriate” Paddy Jackson And Stuart Olding Photo

Darragh Berry

Belfast Telegraph is reporting that rugby club, Malone RFC, have launched an investigation into photo that appeared on social media.

The “inappropriate photograph” shows two of their players, holding a trophy near their manhood with the name badges, ‘Paddy Jackson’ and ‘Stuart Olding’ on their chests.

This comes just over a week after Jackson and Olding were both found not guilty of rape.

Reports suggest that the photo was taken on Easter Monday following the club’s win in the McCrea Cup.

In a statement, the club said that: “It has been brought to our attention that an inappropriate photograph involving Malone players has been posted on a private social media site.

“Malone was unaware of the photograph and will investigate how it occurred.

“The Club apologises for any offence caused by the contents of the photograph.

“A full investigation will now take place by Malone RFC.”

Late last week, a petition for the Irish Rugby Football Union (IRFU) to conduct a full review into Paddy Jackson and Stuart Olding and for the findings of that review to be made public if the men are ever to play on an Irish team again has reached almost 30,000 signatures in the space of a couple of days.
