PIC: Peter Casey Has Denied That He Said This Backstage On The Late Late Show

Peter Casey featured on last night’s Late Late Show alongside the likes of former President Mary Robinson and Irish boxer Andy Lee.

Another person who was on the show was Breakfast Republic host and the new star of ‘Dancing With The Stars’, Jennifer Zamparelli.

She said that she was talking to the Presidential candidate backstage in the green room of the show when she was taken aback by his comments about ‘Direct Provision’

Had a chat with Peter Casey in the hallway of RTE. After the general chit chat I asked him what should be done about people living in direct provision. His response… what’s that? Good night.

“Had a chat with Peter Casey in the hallway of RTE. After the general chit chat I asked him what should be done about people living in direct provision. His response… what’s that? Good night,” she tweeted.

Direct Provision is a way for asylum seekers to be housed and cared for in Ireland.

Peter Casey replied directly under the tweet to say that: “This did not happen Jennifer. That is a total lie!”

Who’s lying and who’s telling the truth? Hopefully RTÉ have good quality sound in their green room.
