Peter Casey Is Working On a New Project With Newstalk

Peter Casey is Newstalk’s latest recruit with a special project due to be aired in the new year.

The Irish Times is reporting that the topics covered will be similar to the ones Casey touched on during his presidential campaign.

Speculation that Casey would replace Hook at the radio station was firmly denied by a Communicorp spokesperson.

“Peter Casey will not present his own show on Newstalk or host a regular slot. Newstalk is working with Peter Casey on a project due to be broadcast in the New Year.”

The former Dragon’s Den star hit the headlines with his controversial comments about the Traveller community when he said they should be not be recognised as a separate ethnic group and suggested that there should be enough room in Phoenix Park into which they move.

The Derry man said he would run for the Dáil in an interview on the Late Late Show after he lost the Presidential Election to incumbent Michael D Higgins.
