The London-Irish Abortion Rights Campaign took part in London’s official St Patrick’s Day parade today.
“To celebrate the great women of Irish history and mythology, our parade entry, “In Awe of Mná”, presents a colourful exploration of the contributions of women to Irish society. From Ireland’s first abortionist, St. Brigid, to tireless suffragette, Hanna Sheehy-Skeffington, to revolutionary nationalist, Constance Markievicz, to the Irish women of today who strive for a fairer society, our vibrant entry will showcase a timeline of inspiring Irish women.”
There was a great turn out in support of reproductive rights and equality.
Macnas Ireland got involved too.
