Rail commuters may face interruptions to service as SIPTU and NBRU members at Iarnród Éireann have voted in favour of industrial action.
The dispute is ongoing over pay and SIPTU who represent close to 1,900 workers at the company, 84% have voted in favour of industrial action.
A whopping 93% of NBRU members voted in favour also.
Both sides took part in talks last night for more than 12 hours which broke down with no agreement reached.
There is now talk of industrial action taking place in the run up to Christmas.

RTÉ reported that management at Iarnród Éireann said the unions rejected a deal offering 1.75% for one year with further improvements possible.
However, union representatives accused Iarnród Éireann Chief Executive, David Franks who was not present at the talks, of stopping discussions into the 11th hour.
