Religious leaders have come together this evening to condemn the attack on a Galway mosque which happened Monday last.

The attack, which occurred during prayer time involved the smashing of windows with rocks, leaving hundreds of praying Muslims terrified.

According to Breaking News, leaders from the Roman Catholic, Church of Ireland, Methodist and Quaker faiths have issued a statement this evening saying they condemn the malicious, unprovoked attack on the Masjid Maryam Mosque in County Galway.

They described the attack, especially as it occurred during the Muslim month of fasting Ramadan as "loutish, criminal behaviour particularly outrageous."
