Big news, staycationers.
Revolut have just launched holiday rental feature ‘Homes’, as part of their accommodation booking service, Revolut Stays. With this new service, the financial technology company intend to take on Airbnb, the Independent reports.
The new feature will allow Revolut’s 20 million+ users worldwide to choose from hundreds and thousands of holiday homes to book, and will grant cashback to users who book through the app.
Customers who book a stay via Homes will be eligible for up to 4% cashback on their bill, Revolut said, also revealing that more than €1.5m has already been returned to customers via cash back incentives in Revolut Stays.
Homes will initially be available in the UK and Europe and customers will be able to pay for a Home using the Revolut app. Popular Revolut features such as bill splitting and the low exchange rates will also be available to use in Homes. Filters will also be available to locate what you specifically need, whether that’s a pet friendly home, a home with a work station, etc.
Speaking about the new feature, general manager of lifestyle products at Revolut Christopher Guttridge said:
When it comes to travel, we know that our customer’s needs are changing more and more. Big or small, budget or bougie, local homes or chic-hotels – our customers want to book any kind of place, all in one place.
