Riverdance star Michael Flatley diagnosed with ‘aggressive’ cancer

Heartbreaking news.

Dancer Michael Flatley has been diagnosed with cancer.

The 64-year-old’s family shared the news in a heartbreaking statement.

They confirmed that Flatley had been diagnosed with “an aggressive form of cancer”.

Michael’s family revealed he has had surgery since his diagnosis.

They praised the dancer’s doctors for taking such good care of him.

The statement read;

“Dear friends, we have something personal to share, Michael Flatley has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer.

“He has undergone surgery and is in the care of an excellent team of doctors.

“No further comments will be made at this time.

“We ask only for your prayers and well wishes. Thank you. Teamlord.”

Fans of the Riverdance star sent loving messages after the news was shared.

One wrote, “Keeping you and yours in my prayers at this time. It’s an awful shock to you all.”

Another said, “I am so deeply sorry to read this devastating news. I pray that Michael will heal completely and that he is comfortable and pain-free during this difficult struggle with his health.”

“Get well soon Micheal, thank you for visiting a local Cork charity during your Christmas visit despite your illness. You will be in good care,” another added.
