Baggage Handler Filmed Stealing From Ryanair Passenger’s Suitcase

An airport baggage handler has been caught opening a Ryanair passenger’s suitcase and stealing a speaker from it.

Another passenger, who was on the flight preparing to depart from Ibiza to Madrid, filmed the incident from his seat before alerting an air steward.

The baggage handler later confessed when confronted by police and returned the stolen item.

The passenger’s mother told Diario de Ibiza: “The police told me it was the third day the man had been working at the airport and returned the speaker to me immediately.

“I was very grateful because I had bought it for my son’s birthday.”

The baggage handler, who worked for the airport and not Ryanair, had only been working there for three days when it happened. He has since been fired and is reportedly awaiting trial.
