The sun is coming.

There quite easily is nothing less predictable than Irish weather, and if this summer has proven anything, it's that.

With rain predicted for most of this week and the weekend, it's hard to imagine any more nice, hot, summer weather but all might not be what it seems.

According to Met Eireann, while unsettled weather is expected this weekend, it's not here to stay as drier conditions are only around the corner.

Up until August 11th, were set to see high pressure dominate the Irish weather, with dry and settled conditions with occasional showers and rainfall, but they are set to be below normal for this time of year.

While it is set to be dry and settled, the temperatures are set to remain similar to what they have been.

The following week, from August 12th to 18th, high pressure is set to remain with some weak frontal trough approaching at times.

Rainfall will again be below normal and temperatures are set to rise slightly to be above normal conditions for this week, especially in the south of the country.

As we approach the following week, from the 19th to the 25, there is more uncertainty. While at the moment it looks like there will be warmer than average conditions and drier weather, the forecaster will know more closer to the time.

The same goes for the fourth week in August, from the 26th to the 1st of September. Dry conditions are expected again with the weather to be clear but more will be known closer to the time.
