Following the recent news that the humble spicebag has been given the Gaeilge treatment, it’s now been revealed that Snapchat Geofilters will also undergo the Irish translation we’ve all been waiting for.
Conradh na Gaeilge are the masterminds behind this, kick-starting Gaelsnap, a competition to create Snapchat Geofilters in Irish for every county in Ireland. The best filters will be chosen to represent each county, and all you have to do is create a filter using a county’s place name as Gaeilge.
So, basically, you have the chance to whip out your cúpla focal, as well as creating your very own Snap filter.

Further guidelines can be found at www.cnag.ie/gaelsnap or you can send Conradh na Gaeilge a snap @CnaGaeilge, should you have any questions.
Ádh mór!
