People Of Ireland: Goodbye Cabin Fever Because You’re Allowed To Go Outside Again

Darragh Berry

Cabin fever – begone.

We’re into Day 3 of what feels like has been the longest end to a week we’ve ever had – (actually, scrap that, January felt like it went on for two years).

The Irish public were advised yesterday to stay in their homes and were ordered not to stir outside after 4pm as Storm Emma would be at its worst.

The Statement was reiterated by the Taoiseach, Leo Varadkar again in the evening but on Friday morning, Minister for Housing, Eoghan Murphy, has given us the all clear to head outside again.

Murphy says that the blizzard conditions have now passed and that the public safety advice to stay indoors is now withdrawn.

However, if you do decided to head out, he is warning to do so with extreme caution and has urged people to pay attention to conditions in your local area.

Whatever you say, Minister, we’ll do anything just get us out of this fecking house.
