Socially distanced festival to take place in Kildare this summer

A socially distanced festival has been announced for Kildare this summer and tickets are on sale now.

Festivals have been hugely missed during the pandemic. With a hopeful glisten of light at the end of the tunnel, many are getting excited about the prospect of their return after a year of restrictions. And socially distanced festivals may be the way forward for the near future.

At The Manor is a new summer series celebrating the return of live music, cuisine, arts and comedy to Ireland this July and August. Set to take place the outdoor theatre in the picturesque Palmerstown House Estate in Kill, County Kildare, attendees can expect to enjoy the experience with four and six-person picnic-table pods available for each show.

Events will take place over a series of weekends throughout July and August 2021 with matinee (12pm – 5pm) and evening sessions (6pm – 11pm).

So, how does such a festival work in the Covid age? Well, guests will have a socially distanced pod with a reserved picnic table seating 4-6 so they can share the experience, music and food with their family and friends.

The amount of tickets on sale is reflective of the need to maintain space, avoid crowding and congestion, and allow for socially distanced food markets and bars.

Tickets start from €30 per person with an additional booking fee, and they are being sold in n pods of four and six only and include your group’s picnic table.

Those heading to the socially distanced festival this summer can expect to enjoy performances from acts such as Smash Hits, U2 tribute band The Joshua Tree, Spring Break and more.
