WATCH: Sonia O’Sullivan Absolutely Bursts With Pride As Daughter Clinches Under-18 Silver

Young Sophie O’Sullivan has proven to be a chip off the old block by clinching an 800 metres silver medal at European Athletics U18 Championships.

The 16-year-old, daughter of legendary Olympic medalist Sonia O’Sullivan, had her mother bursting with pride as she finished second in her final.

European Athletics managed to capture Sonia’s emotions as she cheered Sophie home and she acted as any other Irish mother would.

Who knows, maybe she’ll be cheering Sophie on in the Olympics one day. Check out the clip below.
