Former Team-Mate Claims Roy Keane Once Knocked Him Unconscious

While us here in Ireland are well used to stories of Roy Keane’s volatile nature, it seems the Corkman’s reputation is spreading a bit further.

His former Manchester United team-mate Gabriel Heinze recently gave an interview in his native Argentina and accused Keane of once knocking him unconscious. 

He explained:

“We lost a game and I went in the dressing room first and Roy Keane was second. I liked to go first after the game; I didn’t want to speak to anyone as we lost.

I didn’t understand English, just the bad words. I heard my name and “fuck off” by Roy Keane, the best player. I knew that was bad so I stood up to him, this idol of Manchester, this great guy who everyone loved and replied: “fuck off, you”. I don’t remember what happened next.

Heinze was then asked “Did he punch you? Knock you out?” to which he replied “yes, yes.” 

Somehow we can’t imagine Roy falling to his knees and begging for forgiveness.
