One Lucky Punter Won Almost €1m After Betting On Punchestown This Week

As you may have heard, the Punchestown Races were in full swing this week and one racing fan had more reason to celebrate than the rest.

The Leicester man placed an accumulator online with bookmakers Coral, choosing five horses as part of an accumulator bet.

According to The Irish Independent, the €22 bet features Das Mooser (10-1), Woodland Opera (9-2), Definite Ruby (7-1), Bacardys (10-1) and Canardier (33-1).

It came up trumps, resulting in a €978,000 windfall for the lucky punter.

The man, who is in his 40s, said he had been placing similar bets for 20 years and the win would change his life.
