What a difference a few days make.
After being bathed in glorious sunshine over Easter Weekend, it seems we now have to prepare for an onslaught of severe winds brought on by Storm Hannah. Yep, you know things are rough when weather events get a name.
According to the UK’s Met Office, our own Met Éireann has christened the storm which will bring ‘severe gales to Ireland on Friday night’ as well as ‘strong winds for southern parts of the UK.’

The forecast for Friday says that it will ‘become very windy or stormy in west and south Munster, with very strong, gusty west to northwest winds. Highest temperatures of 10 to 12 degrees.’
There is already a status yellow weather advisory in place for Cork and Kerry which is valid from Friday at 6pm until Saturday at 6am. Met Éireann is expected to extend this warning later today.
