The middle of April.

For the love of all that’s good and Irish, it’s the middle of April, why are we still talking about storms?

After the announcement that there was two weather warnings on the way to Ireland, expert Weather Forecaster, Barra Best, has told the public to prepare for Storm Irene which is heading to our little country at a rapid speed.

The tweet says that it will be “stormy this evening – watch out for possible flying branches. The Portuguese Met service has named the system Storm Irene.”

Speaking to Lovin Media Group, Best told us exactly how Storm Irene would influence Ireland’s weather over the next couple of days.

“It’s going to bring very strong winds this evening [Monday] and tonight with heavy rain at times too. Gales expected, especially for coastal areas.

“A number of warnings have been issued by Met Éireann.”

Barra did have some magnificent news that will be music to everyone’s ears.

THE END OF THE SHIT WEATHER IS NIGH.

“The good news is, once it goes it’ll get better and warmer with temperatures close to 20C in some places from mid-week onwards.”

As much as we trust Barra, and we trust him 110%, we’ll fully believe the bit about the sunshine when we see it for ourselves…
