Now that Halloween is over, it’s technically winter and the weather is already looking cold for the rest of the week.
Met Éireann has warned that the weather is set to turn “gradually colder” over the next few days and there will even be frost at night.
Thursday is when the temperatures are set to drop with a cold breeze and frost will start to appear on grass overnight.
Friday day time is set to be mainly dry and cloudy with a cool southwesterly breeze and frost will start to build up more come night fall when temperatures will plummet.
Saturday is set to be the coldest day of the week with low temperatures and heavy showers expected throughout the day and a chance of hail and thundery downpours.
Saturday night will see a big drop in temperatures, falling as low as 3 degrees with “widespread frost” expected across the country.
We’ve had a mild autumn with temperatures being as high as 15 degrees yesterday – but now it’s time to get the woolly hats and gloves out!
