You should wrap up well tonight if you’re heading out as temperatures are set to plummet to freezing after a relatively mild day.
Today will be bright and dry with temperatures reaching 9° to 12°, according to Met Éireann.
Temperatures will drop sharply to 0° tonight with fog and mist developing in certain parts.
There is also a chance of frost in places, so it might be a good idea to get out that winter coast you’ve been so far avoiding.
Tomorrow will be milder with outbreaks of rain and drizzle in places. The rest of the country will remain dry but cloudy with temperatures of 12° to 15°.
A hot water bottle will definitely come in handy tonight.
