One quarter of Irish people will eat up to EIGHT Easter eggs this Bank Holiday weekend.
That’s according to research carried out by Repak who also found that Irish people will spend almost €40 million on more than 17 MILLION eggs this year.
60% of those who buy chocolate eggs in the days ahead will spend up to €30 while the average household will eat its way through eight chocolate eggs.
The research also found that almost one-third of people will not fully recycle the packaging waste generated by all the chocolatey goodness they plan to eat.
Ah, lads. At least tidy up after yourselves.
