The magical Wonderlights returns tomorrow and it looks insane

Brian Dillon

This year’s edition of Wonderlights looks incredibly magical!

If you’re looking for fun and interesting things to do in those awkward few days between Christmas and New Years (that don’t involve flaking on the couch and eating turkey sandwiches), then this should definitely go on your list.

It was announced a few weeks back that Wonderlights will be returning for a second year due to popular demand, and we are buzzing to experience it again.

Taking place on the grounds of the 5-star Palmerstown House Estate, the multi-sensory outdoor trail is set to be one of the most dazzling experiences you can have this winter.

Plus, if you’re coming from Dublin, it’s a mere 15-minute spin in the car. It’s also a two-minute drive from the Naas Ball.

Along the 2km long walk, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to treat your senses as you stumble across enchantingly colourful sights while you are told magical winter tales about the local area.

You’re guided along the trail by an impressive display of illuminated figures. You’ll also have the opportunity to witness light shows and have the craic in the unlimited funfair.

After all of that walking and exploring, you can enjoy a cup of the famous Wonderlights hot chocolate (it looks absolutely delicious). Or, you can grab a bite to eat from the outdoor Woodland Cafe.

Running from Friday, December 27 until Saturday, January 4. Tickets are priced at €19.50 for adults, €16.50 for students, OAPs and children.

Plus, it is totally wheelchair and buggie-friendly, so it’s suitable for all ages.

To find out more info and to book your tickets, you can head to their website.

Loos at it. Imagine the Instagram gold!
