Ireland may have been eliminated from the Euros by France, but our fans have stolen the whole show entirely.
We’ve been lauded by Channel 4, Sky News, even Eric Cantona, and now the Mayor of Paris herself is officially acknowledging our fans display of “exemplary sportsmanship”.
Mayor Anne Hidalgo thanked our fans for creating a special atmosphere in the French capital and the entire country during the tournament.
Hidalgo will present the Irish supporters with the City of Paris medal, one of the highest honours the Mayor can bestow.
