Last year, people went crazy for the new Hallowe’en trend of scare houses, most notably The Nightmare Realm.
People went to Dublin and Cork to have themselves scared silly by monsters, zombies and ghouls who would chase them through a haunted house.
And the people behind The Nightmare Realm are getting ready for another month of scaring – but they need you.
They’re looking for people to play the monsters and zombies in their houses in Dublin and Cork, and are having scare workshops in Dublin and Cork in a few weeks.
No acting experience is required for these auditions as ” you will be trained in the art of psychological scare tactics and you will be transformed via the use of professional masks, costumes, makeup and prosthetics.”
You only have one hour to show the judges what you’ve got, so you need to bring your own makeup and props.
The event is going to be re-themed this year, and the organisers want it to be bigger and better than before:
“This year, both Cork and Dublin events will be taken to a new level of horror full of twisted psychological games”
If you’re interested in scaring people and making thme cry (you monster), then here’s all you need to know.
The auditions will take place in:
- RDS Dublin from 6pm-8pm Thursday 18th August and 3-5pm Saturday 3rd September
- Albert Quay Cork 3-5pm on Saturday 20th August 3-5pm and 6-8pm Thursday 8th September 2016
The full details and guidelines for the auditions can be found here.
