The Northern Lights MIGHT Be Visible Over Ireland Tonight

seank

Some folks in Ireland might just be lucky enough to witness the Northern Lights this evening.

The phenomenon is expected to appear more widely across the world tonight due to a geomagnetic storm, as the solar winds’ interaction with the Earth’s magnetic field causes this mesmerising effect.

Here are the places around the world that have heightened opportunities to spot the aurora tonight, according to Aurora Watch: Northern Ireland, northern England, Scotland, South Dakota, Iowa, Montana, Washington, southern Norway, southern Sweden, Estonia, Latvia, and across central Russia.

So if you’re lucky enough to be up north this evening, or know someone who is, then the best bet is find a great open space away from the light pollution of towns and cities in order to see all them pretty lights.
