It has been confirmed that the Northern Ireland football team will take on the Republic in an international friendly later this year.
Martin O’Neill’s side will host their rivals at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium on Thursday November 15.

It will be the first time the two teams have clashed since 2011 when the Republic ran out easy 5-0 winners.
Neither side have qualified for this year’s World Cup so the fixture should give both sets of fans something to look forward to in 2018.
In addition to the Northern Ireland game, it was also announced that the Republic will travel to Poland for another friendly on Tuesday September 11. The Northern Ireland game will be part of the FAI’s 2017/2018 season ticket package.
