The Weather Is Set To Pick Up With Temperatures Reaching 20 Degrees Next Week

James Fenton

It’s been a miserable auld week in terms of weather, it has to be said.

Rainy mornings have compounded the post-Bank Holiday misery and people have been checking their calendars just to confirm that it is, in fact, May.

Well, it seems that this traditionally summer month is set to stop masquerading as November with Met Éireann predicting that things will pick up this weekend.

Saturday and Sunday are predicted to have ‘good sunshine’ on both days with ‘highs of 14 degrees and calm conditions.’

The best news is saved for next week though with ‘dry and warm’ weather expected and highs of 20 degrees. The warmest days will be Wednesday and Thursday with ‘highest temperatures occurring on the western side of the country.’

Ideal for the Thursday beer garden, says you. A detailed outlook for the coming week can be found here.
