These Ice-Lollies Could You Put You Over The Drink Driving Limit

The temperatures are on the rise but if you’re going to be behind the wheel this weekend, then it pays to be careful with your choice of refreshments!

Motorists have been warned that enjoying boozy ice-pops could leave you over the drink driving limit, as some could have up to 10% alcohol.

According to The Sun, July is one of the most dangerous months on the roads and gardaí will be clamping down on anyone found driving under the influence.

“We are appealing to all road users to be aware if they are attending any social or sporting events to be cautious of consuming beverages or food that may contain any alcohol,” said Mayo County Council’s Road Safety Officer, Noel Gibbons.

So, next time you have a craving for a lolly, stick to a Calippo instead of a Mojito!
