McGregor Absolutely Owned This Basketball Star Who Tried To Trash Talk Him

James Fenton

Anyone with half a brain knows that if you come at Conor McGregor in a social media sparring match you’re not going to come out on top.

Someone should have told Golden State Warriors NBA star Draymond Green before he took to Instagram to tell McGregor he didn’t approve of The Notorious wearing what he thought was his jersey.

Claiming he’s on ‘Team Mayweather’ ahead McGregor’s much-anticipated August bout with the American, Green said:

As always, McGregor had the last word by informing Green that the jersey was, in fact, a tribute to C.J. Watson who wore the number 23 for the Warriors between 2008 and 2010.

“That’s C.J Watson mate. I don’t know who the f**k you are. No disrespect tho kid, keep hustling and stay in school.”

“Now ask yourself why I’m rocking C.J when I don’t know or give a f**k about basketball. I dribble heads off the floor. Not a ball. This is no game here kid.”

Ouch. It’s understood that Watson has previously had a relationship with the mother of Mayweather’s children, which goes a long way to explaining why McGregor is sporting his top.

RIP Draymond Green.
