The tidiest town in Ireland has been named.
Birdhill in Co. Tipperary has taken the crown at the Tidy Town Awards for 2017. There were 870 towns in the running for this years competition from all across the country.
As well as taking home the title, Birdhill also took the prize for Ireland’s Tidiest Village, so this place must be squeaky clean.
Locals representatives picked up the trophy, plaque and the winning cheque for €10,000 on Monday. This cash prize will be used to fund local activities in the the village.

-Tidiest Large Urban Centre: Ennis in Co. Clare
– Ireland’s Tidiest Large Town: Westport in Co. Mayo
