According to preliminary estimates of the Earnings and Labour Costs Quarterly, a report published by the Central Statistics Office, the average weekly earnings in Ireland were €716.07 in the fourth quarter of 2016.
The above figure showed a rise of 0.6% from the same period of last year, and a rise of 0.3% from the figure for the third quarter of last year.
The figures go into vast detail about the highest average weekly earnings and the lowest weekly earnings, too. Â
At the top is the Information and communication sector earning €1,063.30 each week, followed by those in the financial, insurance and real estate sector who take home €1,021.
Meanwhile, the lowest average weekly earnings were in the accommodation and food services sector, with employees earning €339.66 each week.
All earnings in the report are gross amounts, calculated before PRSI, tax and other deductions. To see the report in full, click here.
