Consider this your warning…
Gleeden, a dating site for people looking to cheat (yes, we know) revealed its website is the busiest on the second Monday after Christmas.
Yep, you guess it. This Monday coming, January 9 is the day your partner is most likely to stray.
According to The Sun, the findings were mirrored in a survey of 13,000 of Gleeden’s more active users – with many admitting they tended to be more active on the site during January.
Interestingly, 52 per cent of people who said they were likely to cheat during this time revealed it was because they were keen to “regain their freedom” after the festive season.
Solene Paillet, director of communications at Gleeden, explains it’s not surprising that January is the month of choice for infidelity.
By registering with Gleeden or spending more time on the online platform, members are seeking a means to inject a little excitement into their everyday life.
Routine may weigh down on individuals, or be rather oppressive when it follows extended periods devoted to family life. This is the result of a legitimate human need: to have fun and think of oneself.
So, now.
You’ve been warned.
