One Of The Most Watched Netflix Films Ever Is Officially Getting A Sequel

Excellent news for fans of cheesy Netflix films because one of their most-watched ones ever is getting a sequel.

The massive hit To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before officially has a second instalment in the works, it’s finally been confirmed.

It’s creatively titled To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before 2, though Viacom CEO Bob Bakish said at a New York press conference that it “might have a sexier title over time”.

The streaming giant revealed that it was one of its “most viewed original films ever with strong repeat viewing”.

If you’re not among the millions who’ve already seen it, the plot centres around Lara Jean Covey (Lana Condor) who writes and keeps secret love letters to every boy she’s ever had a crush on, including Peter Kavinsky (Noah Centineo) – and has to deal with the aftermath of the letters being made public.

Since the film is based off the bestselling novel of the same name, it’s expected that the sequel will also be based on the follow-up book titled P.S. I Still Love You that focuses on Peter and Lara Jean’s “romantic struggles”.

Woah, woah, woah, as Peter Kavinsky would say.

There’s no official word on the release date or cast, though both Lana and Noah have both been vocal about how much they’d love to do a sequel.

Noah previously told People, “I would love to do a sequel… One, just because it’s such a great story and it needs to be finished. The story has to be told… I can’t wait to see everybody and hang out again.”
