TV3 Has Axed The Final Six Episodes Of Al Porter’s Blind Date

Lovin' Media

Irish television station TV3 has announced that they’ve cancelled the final six episodes of Blind Date which were due to air in January.

According to the Irish Mail on Sunday, twelve episodes of the show had been filmed with Al Porter presenting, but TV3 have reportedly taken the decision to axe the last six.

A source told the newspaper: “It’s an absolute disaster for TV3. They spent a fortune on Blind Date, buying the format, the production, the promotion, not to mention Al’s salary, but they are left with no potion. The remaining six will never see the light of day, it’s an absolute disaster all-round.”

Porter released a statement last week following several allegations of sexual misconduct on his behalf.
