Is it February yet? Surely, we’ve nearly reached the end of this horrid month and hopefully when it passes, it takes this shite weather with it.
Met Éireann has issued two weather warnings on Tuesday and sadly, they don’t contain the words ‘heatwave’ or ‘sunburst’.
The first weather warning is a status yellow wind warning for all of Ireland.
“Southwest winds are expected to reach mean speeds of between 55 and 65 km/hr, gusting to 110 km/hr at times this evening and tonight. Winds will be strongest in Western and Northwestern counties and along the Southeast coast, and may briefly exceed these values.”
It was issued on Tuesday morning and will be in place from Tuesday night at 9pm until Wednesday morning at 9am.
The second warning is a status yellow rainfall warning for six counties. These counties are: Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo, Sligo and Clare and rainfall totals of 25mm to 35mm are expected.
This will also be in place from Tuesday night at 10pm until Wednesday morning at 10am.
If you can at all, try and avoid heading out in this but if you are stirring out tonight, please be careful, folks.
