Una Healy’s Mum Opens Up About Her Heartbreak As The Singer Moves Home To Thurles

Una Healy’s mum has spoken out about the singer’s heartbreak following her split from rugby player Ben Foden this week.

Speaking to The Irish Sun, Anne Healy said: “Its not the right time. It’s tough. It’s tough. It’s really hard.”

Local councillor Jim Ryan told the publication that Thurles was behind Una, who confronted Ben over cheating allegations before splitting with him and moving home.

Jim said:

“It is a shock to everyone as the impression given was they were very happily married. But unfortunately that is the way things go sometimes.

“She has an awful lot of friends in the town and she has a huge fan base locally.

“There is a big support base here in Thurles that will rally behind her definitely.

“It is a private matter and between themselves. But it does come as a surprise. And the thoughts of us all are with Una and the family. So we will console her, absolutely.”

Una and Ben were married in 2012 after dating for four years. They have two children together – Aoife, 6, and Tadhg, 3.
