Una Healy has commented on her split from husband Ben Foden for the first time since they confirmed their separation in July.
In a new interview with Hello! Magazine, the 36 year old says her “life has been turned upside down” although she is moving on from what happened.
The Saturdays star said, “Life is tough, but you’ve got to keep a positive attitude. Time is a healer as well.
“Someone told me: ‘Don’t look back; you’re not going that way.’ These words inspire me, as does the famous quote of Winston Churchill: ‘If you’re going through hell, keep going.'”
Una and Ben were married in 2012 after dating for four years and have two children together – Aoife, 6, and Tadhg, 3.
They had been planning to move to New York together after Ben signed a contract with Rugby United but they confirmed their split before the move went ahead.
Una added, “I’m taking each day as it comes and just being there for my children.”
