Vandals helped themselves to a free ice cream before damaging a cafe and stealing £200 in cash.
Belfast Live reports that two youths were caught on CCTV breaking into Pickie Fun Park in County Down early this morning using a golf club.
The male and female, who are thought to be in their early 20s, broke into the ice cream kiosk and helped themselves to a sweet treat before trashing an office, ripping out fire alarms and breaking windows.
Speaking to Belfast Live, Pickie Fun Park operations manager Nigel McNeely, said: “They entered the ice cream kiosk and initially had the audacity to serve themselves an ice cream.
“They broke the windows but thankfully there was nothing worth taking except in one there was a till drawer. In total there are two till drawers missing each would have had a cash float of £100.
“It was two amateurs, two young amateurs, their faces were uncovered and they were not wearing gloves and we have CCTV footage.”
Police attended the scene and the park remains closed today as staff deal with damages, which will cost an estimated £4,000 to repair.
Police are asking anyone with any information to contact them in Bangor on 101 quoting reference number 86 08/06/17 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
