Brexit negotiations are kicking off next month, and Ireland’s border with Northern Ireland is obviously a huge issue.
Channel 4 News took to the streets to find out the general public’s opinions on the matter – and see if they could draw the Irish border on a map.
The vast majority of them failed miserably, with one woman drawing the border halfway down the island.

Donegal was lumped in with Northern Ireland in all of the drawings except one.

“We can’t even draw the border. We don’t learn this kind of thing,” said one young man.
“It’s not something that is taught to be honest.”
Another woman added that she thought the Irish people were “just making trouble because they lost”.
“It’s a bit petty isn’t it really?” she said.
“Yeah, the southern Irish have to lump it basically, you can’t always have what you want in life.”
