Met Éireann has promised that the country will be basking in sunshine for most of the week ahead.
The weather experts are forecasting that temperatures could hit 15 degrees today. That news is tainted somewhat by some accompanying rain in the the west which will spread eastwards later on.
From tomorrow however, the outlook is much better. Tuesday will be mainly dry with highest temperatures of 13 degrees.
Wednesday will be bright and sunny and by the time Thursday and Friday arrive, 'each day will be brighter or sunnier than the day before'. We'll certainly take that.
By the weekend, 'sunshine should be established' and 'anticyclonic' conditions will continue into the early parts of next week. (that means no wind, people.)
Sounds feckin' fantastic by all accounts.
