If you’d made any outdoor plans this weekend you may want to revise them, as Met Éireann has issued a yellow rain warning across the country.
Munster and Ulster are set to get off lightly with a mostly dry and bright morning, while Leinster and Connacht should expect a lot of rainfall early in the day.
It’s in Leinster and Connacht where isolated thunderstorms may crop up.
The early afternoon should clear up a bit, but rain is expected to return in the late afternoon. The highest temperatures will be 11 to 14 degrees.
This evening will have even longer spells of rain and a higher risk of thunderstorms. Temperatures then will be about 5 to 8 degrees.
