Met Éireann Warn Of “Wintry Showers” As They Release The Most Miserable Forecast Of The Year So Far

Darragh Berry

We think this must be the most Irish weather forecast of all time because it includes every single condition possible…

…except sun, OF COURSE.

Met Éireann has said that the weekend will be one of the most miserable conditions the country has faced this year.

It will be a mixture of rain, hail, sleet, frost and wind, classic.

Friday will be dosed in rain and drizzle but will remain dry with quite breezy conditions.

Friday night looks pretty okay too, but then Saturday is set to come along and blow us all away with blustery showers and strong winds.

“Saturday night is looking windy and potentially very windy with showers of rain, hail and sleet in strong and gusty northwest winds with gales likely along the coast.”

Sunday will have a windy start and the strong gusts will only get stronger as the day goes on.

“Wintry showers will continue in the north and northwest but further south it will be mainly dry with sunny spells.

“On Sunday night winds will ease further and it will turn cold under clear skies with a widespread sharp frost and possibly ice on roads.”

So, be careful if you’re driving late on Sunday night, folks.
