The weekend weather forecast is in, and it ain’t pretty.
Met Éireann has confirmed that Ireland can expect more rainfall this weekend with temperatures of up to 19C.
Saturday
There will be sunny spells today, but prepare for longer spells of rain during the day before it turns dry in the evening. It’ll be a mild day with temps rising to 19C.
Don’t leave the garden cushions out as there’ll be scattered showers as well as heavy downpour in the West overnight.
The forecaster said:
‘Scattered showers continuing overnight with some heavy downpours later, especially across the west, the northwest and parts of the midlands. Mist and fog patches too, in light to moderate westerly breezes.’
Some bright spells today but generally cloudy with showers or longer spells of rain spreading eastwards across the country. Turning drier and sunnier in the evening. Top temperatures of 16 to 19 degrees in fresh west or southwest breezes.

More rain, starting in the North of the country and moving down towards Munster as the day progresses.
Again, temperatures will be cooler than we’ve had recently peaking at 19C:
‘Sunday will bring further showery spells of rain, mainly across the northern half of the country.
Somewhat drier elsewhere with sunny spells, however rain will move into Munster before nightfall.
Highest temperatures of 15 to 19 degrees Celsius, mildest across southern counties, in mostly moderate westerly breezes.’

‘Scattered outbreaks of rain on Monday morning will clear eastwards to leave a mix of sunny spells and isolated showers for the afternoon. Highest temperatures of 17 to 20 degrees in mostly light southerly winds.
‘On Monday evening rain will develop in the south, extending nationwide overnight with heavy falls expected. It will also turn very windy. Minimum temperatures of 12 to 15 degrees.’
