Is it just us, or has it felt like the longest Winter of all time?
We hardly remember what it feels like to be warm, but today’s weather will come as a very welcome break from the wind, rain and ice.
Yep, it’s set to a nice mild Saturday once the morning’s frost eases off, with temperatures reaching a balmy 10 degrees.
Met Eireann says: “Apart from isolated showers in the west, today will be dry with variable cloud and hazy sunshine”.
“Milder than recent days with highs of 7 to 10 degrees in light southwesterly breezes.”
Enjoy it while it lasts, as a clear evening will give way to outbreaks of rain spreading across west-Munster and Connacht later.
Tomorrow then will be cloudy and damp again with “the weather gradually improving from the west during the afternoon and evening. Highs of 7 to 11 in moderate southwesterly breezes.”
