“Widespread Heavy Rain” Expected Tonight As Storm Ernesto Hits The Country

Jen

If you’re going out tonight, be prepared for heavy rain as the yellow warning issued by Met Éireann kicks in while Storm Ernesto hit the country.

Total rainfall of about 20mm in most places with more expected in other places.

The warning is in place from 8 pm tonight until 8 am this morning, so going out will be an altogether wet affair.

It will be another humid day in Leinster and Munster as the warmer air makes way for Storm Ernesto’s approach with temperatures reaching top 21° to 25°. It will be a little cooler in other areas with top temperatures of 16 to 21°.

Tomorrow will be cloudy with top temperatures of 18 to 24°. There will be “a little light rain” but it will stay mostly dry.

However, another humid night is in store for the country on Sunday night as temperatures predicted to stay around 15 to 16°.

We still can’t believe the heatwave is over.
